[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 9일부터 의정부시는 새로운 모습으로 탈바꿈한 송산1동작은도서관의 운영을 재개한다고 밝혔다.

송산1동작은도서관은 2021년 ‘KB후원 작은도서관 조성사업’에 선정돼 1억 원 상당의 KB국민은행 후원금과 (사)작은도서관만드는사람들의 공간 구성 및 가구 제작, 도서대출반납기 설치 등을 지원받아 새롭게 조성됐다고 했다.

송산1동작은도서관은 맞춤 제작한 원목 가구를 활용한 서가공간, 대출공간, 열람공간, 모임공간 등을 하나의 통합공간으로 구성해 개방감을 확보했고, 쾌적한 도서관 환경을 제공해 지역주민들이 편안하게 이용할 수 있도록 했으며, 뿐만아니라 코로나19 팬데믹이 지속됨에 따라 안전한 도서관 이용 환경조성을 위한 최신 도서대출반납기를 설치해 이용자 스스로 도서 대출·반납이 가능한 비대면 서비스를 실시하고, 도서 소독기를 비치해 도서의 청결한 관리를 위해 노력하고 있다고 전했다.

박영애 도서관운영과장은 “평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영하는 송산1동작은도서관이 독서와 다양한 분야의 문화프로그램을 공유할 수 있는 공간이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
