[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 12일 대한적십자사봉사회 포천지구협의회는 새마을회관 2층 회의실에서 2022년 정기총회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 정기총회에는 박윤국 포천시장, 포천시의회 의장 직무대리 송상국 부의장, 한광식 사무국장 등이 참석했고, 봉사원 24명에게 포천시장, 포천시의회 의장, 국회의원, 대한적십자사 경기도지사 및 경기도협의회장 표창장이 수여됐으며, 2명의 읍면동 봉사회 회장에게 공로패가 전달됐다고 했다.

한은숙 회장은 “지난 한 해 도움이 필요한 곳이라면 어디든 달려가 어려움 속에서도 봉사활동에 동참해준 적십자 가족에게 깊은 감사를 느낀다.”면서 “특히 코로나19 최일선에서 방역과 예방에 최선을 다해주셔서 감회가 새롭다. 앞으로도 가장 가까운 곳에서 가장 필요한 손을 내미는 적십자가 되겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

박윤국 시장은 “계속되고 있는 코로나19로 모두가 어려운 시기지만 적십자는 성실한 마음으로 봉사하고 어려운 이웃과 더불어 밝은 사회를 이룩해왔다.”라고 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

한편 대한적십자사봉사회 포천지구협의회는 단위봉사회에서 493명의 봉사원이 활동하고 있으며, 재난·재해 구호활동, 보건안전교육, 헌혈운동을 펼치고 있다고 밝혔다.
