[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 11월 29일 캠코(한국자산관리공사)는 캠코가 신조펀드(한국토니지신조 2호)를 통해 건조를 지원하고, 팬오션㈜가 운항할 ‘그랜드 보난자*’호 명명식을 대우조선해양 옥포조선소에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

* 그랜드 보난자(Grand Bonanza) : 선박 항해에 커다란 행운이 깃들기를 바라는 의미

그랜드 보난자호는 캠코가 신조펀드를 조성해 건조를 지원한 첫 번째 선박으로, 이날 행사는 선박 인도를 기념하고, 안전항해를 기원하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

명명식에는 신흥식 캠코 사장 직무대행, 김홍국 하림 그룹 회장, 안중호 팬오션㈜ 대표이사, 이성근 대우조선해양㈜ 사장 등이 참석했다고 전했다.

그랜드 보난자호는 글로벌 환경규제 강화에 대응한 친환경․고효율의 30만톤급 초대형유조선(VLCC*)으로, 캠코는 정부 ｢기업자산 매각 지원방안**｣에 따른 해운경기 회복 지원을 위해 1.2억 달러 규모의 외화채권을 발행해 건조를 지원했다고 했다.

신흥식 캠코 사장 직무대행은 “그랜드 보난자호는 캠코가 선박 신조금융에 첫 발을 내딛어 일군 성공사례이기 앞서, 우리 해운․조선업계가 함께 이루어 낸 뜻있는 결실”이라며, “앞으로도 캠코는 선박 인수․재용선과 더불어 친환경․고효율 선박 신조 등 해운․조선 상생발전 위해 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 캠코는 올해 ‘한국토니지신조 1~2호 펀드’를 조성해 ‘그랜드 보난자호’를 포함한 30만톤급 초대형유조선 2척의 신규 건조를 지원했으며, 해운업계 유동성 지원을 위해 2015년부터 2조 4,639억원 규모의 캠코선박펀드를 조성하여 국내 중견ㆍ중소 해운사 중고선박 96척을 인수한 바 있다고 전했다.

The Grand Bonanza is an eco-friendly, high-efficiency 300,000-ton class ultra-large tanker (VLCC*) in response to the strengthening of global environmental regulations. He said that he supported the construction by issuing foreign currency bonds.

On the other hand, Camco established the 'Tony G Korea Fund 1~2' this year to support the construction of two 300,000-ton super tankers, including the 'Grand Bonanza'. He said that he had established a large-scale Camco Ship Fund and acquired 96 used ships from domestic and mid-sized shipping companies.
