[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시청소년재단 임직원은 ‘혈액수급 방해하는 코로나는 가라! 사랑의 헌혈 함께 해요!’이라는 주제로 임직원 단체 헌혈을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다. 

재단은 16년도 재단 창립일 이후로 매년 1회씩 임직원 단체 헌혈을 진행했지만, 코로나19로 인해 혈액수급이 급감했다는 소식을 듣고 지난해부터 연 2회로 확대 시행 중이라고 했다. 

올 해는 대한적십자사 서울동부혈액원 헌혈버스를 의정부시청소년수련관 입구에 하루 종일 배치하여 시행하였기에 재단 임직원과 시민들이 자발적으로 참여할 수 있었다고 했다.

대한적십자사 서울동부혈액원 관계자는 “코로나19 장기화에 따른 헌혈자 감소와 10~20대 헌혈인구 감소로 혈액수급에 어려움을 겪던 중 인도주의적 마음으로 헌혈에 동참한 의정부시청소년재단이 큰 힘이 되었다.”며 감사를 전했다.   

이에 의정부시청소년재단 이한범 대표이사는 “공익재단으로서 마땅한 행보를 긍정적으로 바라봐줘 감사하다.”라고 화답하며, “어려울수록 지역의 곁에서, 함께 하는 사회공헌 활동을 이어가겠다.”고 포부를 밝혔다.
