[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 9월 29일 캠코는 오는 10월 26일까지 한 달간  ESG 경영 실천과 코로나19 의료진 응원을 위해 2021년 제2차 ‘임직원 1억 걸음 기부 캠페인’을 전개한다고 밝혔다.

이번 ‘1억 걸음 기부 캠페인’은 소셜임팩트(Social impact) 플랫폼을 활용해 캠코 임직원이 생활 속에서 1억 걸음 목표를 달성하면, 캠코가 5천만원을 기부하는 매칭그랜트 방식으로 진행된다고 했다.

캠코는 적립된 기부금으로 사회적기업에서 폐플라스틱을 재활용해 만든 업사이클링(Upcycling) 제품(에코백, 우산)을 구입해, 코로나19 방역 최일선에 있는 부산지역 16개 보건소와 5개 선별진료소 의료진 1,200여명에게 전달할 예정이라고 했다.

신흥식 캠코 부사장은 “지구환경과 의료진을 생각하는 마음으로 임직원들이 함께하는 이번 캠페인을 마련하게 됐다“며, “앞으로도 캠코는 코로나19 극복 노력과 함께 지속가능한 사회적 가치 실천을 위해 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.

한편, 캠코는 지난 5월에도 임직원 1,321명이 2.87억 걸음을 모아 조성한 기부금 1억원으로 부산 유엔기념공원 나무심기 사업을 지원한 바 있다고 전했다.
