[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원]  8월 19일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 줌으로 개최된 ‘제2캠퍼스 비전 수립을 위한 100인 학생 온라인 공감토론회’에 참석해 학생들을 격려했다고 밝혔다.

제2캠퍼스는 학생 본인이 소속한 원적교를 떠나 일정기간 한 곳에 머물면서 오전에는 온라인으로 교과수업을 진행, 오후에는 학생이 프로그램을 직접 만드는 프로젝트 활동을 체험하는 교육공간으로, 학생이 주도적으로 프로그램을 기획·활동하면서 공동체성, 진로탐색, 도전경험을 통해 성장할 수 있도록 충분한 기다림과 자유를 보장하는 비전을 지향하고 있다고 말했다.

정윤경 의원은 축사를 통해 “과거에는 이론, 법칙을 아는 사람이 필요했지만, 4차 산업혁명시대를 준비하는 미래교육이 추구해야할 인재상으로 무엇보다 경쟁력과 몰입의 힘이 강조되고 있다”며, “일방적으로 지식을 전달받는 교육 방식에서 벗어나 자신이 진정으로 원하는 활동에 충분히 몰입하고, 스스로 문제를 해결하면서 겪는 다양한 시행착오를 할 수 있는 값진 경험이 되는 공간이 될 수 있도록 그 주체인 학생들이 많은 의견을 제시해달라”고 말했다.

제2캠퍼스는 폐교된 이천 부발초 백록분교장을 활용하여 내년 1월 준공될 예정이며, 교과수업을 지원할 수 있도록 온라인 수업 스마트 교실 구축과 가변형 교실, 광장형 오픈공간, 온돌바닥 등 협력, 협업, 공유하는 혁신적인 공간으로 탈바꿈할 예정이라고 했다.
