올해 9회째를 맞이하는 의정부시 사진공모전은 의정부만의 특별한 장소 및 매력을 알리기 위해 마련되었으며, 특히 올해는 코로나19로 침체된 사회적 분위기를 바꾸고 시민여러분에게 밝은 기운을 전달하고기 위해 코로나19와 연관된 주제로 진행하고, 의정부시만의 특별한 장소 또는 코로나19로 달리진 우리의 일상 및 방역현장 등을 담은 사진을 제출하면 되며, 의정부시에 관심 있는 시민이면 누구나 참여할 수 있다고 했다. 

출품 수량은 1인당 3점 이내로 사진원본 파일(jpg, jpeg)과 신청서를 이메일로 제출하면 되고, 두 차례에 걸쳐 30점의 수상작이 결정되며, 심사결과는 11월 중 시 홈페이지를 통해 발표되고 시상은 '대상 1명, 지역화폐 100만원', '우수상 2명,지역화폐 각 50만원', '장려상 3명,지역화폐 각 30만원', '입선 24명,지역화폐 각 5만원'이다. 자세한 사항은 의정부시 홈페이지또는 홍보과 홍보팀으로 문의하면 된다고 말했다.
