상세주소 직권부여제도는 건물 소유자나 임차인의 신청이 없더라도 담당 공무원이 현장을 조사해 상세주소 부여 후 소유자의 의견수렴을 거쳐 확정한다고 말했다.

이종열 토지정보과장은 “도로명주소 상세주소 직권부여로 정확한 우편물 수령과 신속한 위급상황 대처가 가능해질 것으로 기대한다.”라며 “앞으로도 상세주소에 대한 홍보와 직권부여 제도를 병행해 시민들의 주소생활 편의 증진을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
