올해 지원사업은 2020년 12월 한 달 동안 신청서가 접수되었으며, 접수 결과 아파트는 24개 단지, 다세대주택은 109개 동이 신청했고, 지원단지 선정을 위해 2021년 1월부터 의정부시 공동주택 지원심사 위원 7명과 공동주택 안전관리 재능기부단 위원 12명이 현장을 확인 한 후, 지난 3월 26일 의정부시 공동주택 지원심사위원회에서 2021년도 공동주택 지원사업 대상을 선정했다고 말했다.

 
선정된 아파트 단지는 송산주공1단지아파트 등 18개 단지로 주요 사업은 CCTV 교체, 놀이터 개보수 및 영구임대아파트 공용전기료 등을 지원하며, 2020년부터 지원하기 시작한 다세대주택은 가능연립 C동 등 50개 동이 선정되어 주로 옥상 방수 공사를 진행할 예정이라고 했다.
