[김준호 기자 = 평창군] 평창우체국(국장 이흥주)이 추석 명절을 맞이하여 평창군 관내에 거주하는 지역소외계층 2가구를 방문해 행복나눔 활동을 전개했다.

평창우체국은 해마다 명절 및 연말을 맞이해 지역 내 장애인, 독거노인, 복지시설 등을 방문하여 지원물품 및 지원금을 전달하는데, 올해는 관할지역 읍사무소의 추천을 받아 2가구를 선정하여 30만원씩 총 60만원의 지원금을 전달하였다.

이흥주 평창우체국장은 “코로나19 및 태풍 등으로 힘든 상황 속에서도 이번 나눔활동이 희망의 씨앗이 되어, 지역주민 모두가 행복한 사회가 될 수 있도록 앞으로도 사회적 역할을 다하는 평창우체국이 되겠다.”고 말했다.

권혁수 평창읍장은“평창우체국의 지속적인 이웃사랑 실천에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 우체국과 협업하여 관내 어려운 이웃들을 좀 더 두루 살피도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
