[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 24일 포천시는 시청 시정회의실에서 ㈜포천에코플랜트와 포천바이오가스플랜트 운영 개선을 위한 상호협약을 체결했다.

포천바이오가스플랜트(영중면 영송리 소재)는 순수 민간자본으로 건설한 가축분뇨처리시설로 지난 2015년 상업운전 개시 후 연 10억 원 운영적자가 지속되었고 이에 전문성과 경영능력이 있는 대체사업자로 선정된 ㈜부강테크가 특수목적법인 ㈜포천에코플랜트를 설립했으며, 총 사업비 480억 원을 투입해 노후화된 시설개보수공사를 추진할 예정이다.

김세영 대표는 “포천 바이오가스플랜트 시설 개보수가 마무리되면 가축분뇨처리능력이 검증된 기술력을 바탕으로 처리원가를 낮춰 축산농가의 가축분뇨처리비용 절감에도 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다.”고 말했다.

백영현 포천시장은 “포천바이오가스플랜트 운영 정상화로 가축분뇨 처리시설 부족을 해결하는 장기적이고 안정적인 가축분뇨처리 기반의 초석이 될 것으로 기대한다.”면서 “성공적인 사업수행을 위해 행정지원과 협력을 아끼지 않겠으며, 포천시와 ㈜포천에코플랜트는 상생협력의 동반자로 포천 농축산업 발전의 토대가 되기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
