[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 오늘 24일 오후 지역의 교육과 문화 발전을 위한 협력 등을 위해 한국외국어대학교 국제회의실에서 학교법인 동원육영회와 업무협약을 체결했다.

동원육영회는 한국외국어대학교와 사이버한국외국어대학교 등을 운영하고 있는 학교법인이다. 

이번 협약에는 유상범 국회의원과 심재국 군수를 비롯한 관계 공무원, 김종철 동원육영회 이사장, 박정운 한국외국어대학교 총장, 장지호 재단사무처장 등이 참석했다.

협약의 주요 내용으로 평창군에서는 동원육영회 연수시설 건립을 위한 각종 인허가 절차 및 기반시설과 토지 매입에 관한 제반사항을 지원하기로 했다.

동원육영회에서는 주민 교양프로그램 및 외국어 교육을 통한 지역과의 상생발전 도모, 지역인재 양성을 위한 특성화 교육프로그램 운영 및 인적교류 추진, 평창군 내 연수시설 건립을 추진하기로 했다.

또한, 공동 협력사항으로 지역의 교육 및 문화분야 발전과 지역경제 활성화, 사회공헌활동을 위한 공동사업 등을 발굴하여 추진하는데 의견을 같이했다.
