[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 춘천시가 기관용 장애인 자동차에 대한 전수 조사를 오는 9월 2일까지 진행한다고 밝혔다.

D형 자동차 표지는 장애인복지시설·단체, 노인의료복지시설 등의 법인 또는 대표자 명의로 발급되는 기관용 장애인자동차 표지다.

그렇지만 실제로 장애인 이동에 사용하지 않는 차량임에도 반납·폐기 없이 표지를 사용하는 사례가 다수 확인되고 있으며, 이에 시는 부적정 사례를 개선하고자 장애인 자동차 표지(D형) 발급 기관 105개소, 차량 261대를 확인한다. 

조사사항은 차량의 매매·폐차, 소유자 변경, 기관의 휴·폐업, 목적사업 미사용(장애인 이용에 직접 미사용) 등이며, 1차로 대표자 및 차량 현 소유자 확인, 그리고 차량운행일지를 통해 사용 적정 여부를 조사한다. 

2차로 부정적 사용 및 확인불가 차량에 대해서는 기관에 직접 방문해 내용을 살피고, 조사 결과 부적정 사용 자동차 표지는 회수·폐기 조치할 예정이다.

춘천시 관계자는 “이번 전수조사를 통해 장애인자동차 표지의 부정 사용을 예방하고 올바른 표지 이용에 기여할 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
