[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 28일 원주지방환경청은 “제1회 강원도 비점오염원관리지역 흙탕물 저감 경진대회”를 원주 호텔인터불고에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

참여대상은 비점오염원관리지역 내 마을주민들로 구성된 “맑은 하천지킴이”로, 흙탕물 발생에 대한 주민들의 인식제고와 자발적인 문제 해결 방안 도출을 위하여 추진했다고 했다.

경진대회에 참여한 마을단체는 홍천군 자운리 마을 등 7개 팀*으로 활동내용, 개선 아이디어 등 심사평가를 거쳐 3개 팀이 원주지방환경청장상을 수상했다고 전했다.

대상은 홍천군 자운2리 마을, 우수상은 양구군 현2리 마을, 장려상은 인제군 새마을지회가 선정되었으며, 수상자에게는 각각 300만원, 200만원, 100만원 상당의 강원상품권과 상장이 수여됐다고 했다.

이창흠 청장은 “민간주도형 거버넌스 정책적 지원을 바탕으로 농민과 환경이 상생하며 자발적인 마을주민들의 참여로 흙탕물 저감되어 수질환경이 보다 개선되길 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.

The participants were “clean river keeper” composed of villagers in the nonpoint pollution source management area, and they said that it was promoted to raise the residents' awareness about muddy water and voluntarily come up with a solution to the problem.

The village groups that participated in the contest were 7 teams* including Jaun-ri, Hongcheon-gun, and three teams were awarded the Wonju Regional Environment Agency Award after screening and evaluation including activity contents and improvement ideas.
