[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 22일 환경부 원주지방환경청은 관할 지자체*를 대상으로 2023년도 하수도분야 국고보조사업 설명회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

* 강원도 18개 시·군(전체) 및 충청북도 5개 시·군(충주, 제천, 단양, 음성, 괴산)

이번 설명회는 지자체를 대상으로 국고보조금에 대한 이해와 효과적인 예산 신청을 돕기 위해 마련됐으며, 설명회는 2023년도 하수도 국고 보조금 편성 방향과 신청 절차 및 국고 보조금 부정수급 근절 교육 등을 영상으로 진행한다고 했다. 

2023년도 하수도분야 국고보조사업을 희망하는 지자체는 3월 18일까지 원주지방환경청에 예산 신청을 하여야 한다고 전했다.

원주지방환경청은 신청된 사업에 대해 각 사업별 필요성, 시급성, 하수도정비기본계획 등 상위계획 반영여부, 사업규모의 적정성 및 지역별 하수도 보급률 등을 고려하여 예산지원 우선순위 및 지원규모를 정하여 환경부에 제출할 예정이라고 전했다. 

23년도 하수도 국고보조사업 예산안은 환경부, 기획재정부, 국회 등의 심사·심의 과정을 거쳐 연말에 확정되며, 참고로, 2022년도 하수도 국고보조사업은 185개 사업, 1,761억원이 투입되어 추진되고 있다고 했다.

올해 선정된 예산의 효율적인 집행을 위해 매월 집행점검을 통해 개별 사업별 사업진도, 예산 집행률 등을 파악하여 부진사업에 대해 예산조정 및 현장점검을 실시하는 등 집중관리할 예정이라고 했다.

조성돈 기획재정과장은 “관내 하수도 보급률을 향상시키고 지역주민의 물 복지 증진을 위해 하수도 국고보조를 확대하는 등 지속적으로 노력할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
