[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 20일 11시 전국화력발전소 소재 시·군의회의장협의회는 당진시의회에서 3차 정례회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 정례회는 철저한 코로나19 방역수칙 하, 김기하 협의회장의 개회사와 최창용 당진시의회 의장의 환영사에 이어 2차 정례회 개최 결과 보고, 안건 심의, 기타 토의 순으로 진행됐다고 했다.

협의회에서는 이날 의결사항으로 당진시의회 최창용 의장이 발의한 ‘화력발전소 소재 지자체 송전선로 지중화 대책 마련 촉구 건의문’을 채택해, 화력발전소 소재 시군이 겪고 있는 건강권 침해와 더불어 인근 지자체로 전력을 공급하기 위한 막대한 예산부담을 지는 불합리한 상황에 대해 짚어보며 관계법령 개정과 지중화 추진을 국회와 중앙정부에 요청했다고 했다.

또한 기타토의 사항으로 ‘2021년 세율인상에 따른 지역자원시설세 운용방안’에 대해 공유하며 지역주민의 건강을 담보로 인상하는 세금을 어떻게 쓸 것인지 예산심의 권한을 지닌 시의회 차원에서 고민해보는 시간을 가졌다고 전했다.
