[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14~15일, 동두천국악예술단이 구미문화예술회관에서 열린 '2021 대한민국 예술축전'경연대회 국악부문에서 대상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다. 

경기도 대표로 출전한 동두천국악예술단은 이번 대회에서 국악부문 대상(13개팀 중 1위), 종합부문에서 최우수상(40개팀 중 2위)을 차지했고, 또한 부상으로 상금 1,000만원과 트로피를 받았으며, 대한민국예술축전은 한국예술문화단체총연합회가 주관하는 전국규모 종합예술 경연대회라고 했다.

대상을 차지한 국악예술단 고양옥 단장은 “대한민국 예술축전에서 대상을 수상한 것에 진심으로 기쁘고 감사하며 앞으로도 예술문화 발전을 위해 더 열심히 달리겠다”고 전했다. 

지난 10월 9일 서울남산국악당에서 동두천시 이담농악보존회가 한국국악협회 창립 60주년 대한민국 국악제 초청공연을 가진 바 있다고 했다.
