[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주지방환경청은 강원·충북지역 59개 도시공원의 토양 안전성을 조사한 결과, 모두 토양오염우려기준 이내로 나타났다고 밝혔다.

이번 조사는 지난 2021년 4월~10월에 지역주민에 대한 환경서비스 제공을 위하여 주민이용률이 높거나 도로에 인접한 공원 등 강원·충북 14개군의 59개 도시공원을 대상으로 실시되었다고 전했다.

조사대상 유해물질은 중금속 등 12개 항목으로 토양오염우려기준 대비 평균 0.0 ~ 13.6%로 자연배경농도 수준 이하로 양호하였고, 카드뮴(Cd), 유기인, 시안(CN), 벤조(a)피렌은 全 지점에서 불검출되었다고 했다.

원주지방환경청 이창흠 청장은 “이번 조사를 통해 도시공원의 토양 안전성이 확인됨에 따라 지역주민이 좀 더 안심하고 도시공원을 이용할 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
