복원사업은 ㈜피피이씨 춘천의 후원으로, 원주지방환경청, 강원대 어류연구센터가 협업하여 추진 중이며, 작년 방사에 이어 올해도 증식 중인 열목어(성체) 약 100마리를 송천 식수댐 상부지역에 방사한다고 했다.
