[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 12월 10일 원주지방환경청은 『제1회 강원도비점오염원 관리지역 흙탕물 저감 경진대회』를 원주 오크밸리 리조트에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이 대회는 흙탕물 저감 필요성에 대한 주민 인식 제고와 자발적인 참여를 유도하기 위해 마련된 것으로 지역·마을별로 흙탕물 저감 활동과 개선 방향을 발표하는 방식이라고 했다.

참가 신청기간은 지난 10월 1일부터 오는 11월 30일까지이며, 비점오염원 관리지역의 마을 단위로 주민 자생단체인 “맑은 하천 지킴이”가 참가할 수 있다고 했다.

※ 맑은 하천 지킴이 : 506명(양구 29, 인제 62, 홍천 169, 평창 28, 강릉 168, 삼척 50)

원주지방환경청, 강원도, 환경보전협회가 함께 주최하는 이번대회 입상자 3팀에게는 총 600만원 상당의 온누리상품권과 상장이 수여된다고 전했다.

또한, 수상작은 원주지방환경청, 강원도, 시·군 홈페이지 및 SNS에 게재하여 고랭지밭 흙탕물 저감 활동 홍보에 적극활용할 계획이라고 전했다.
