[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 9월 30일 오후 2시 캠코는 캠코 양재타워(강남구 도곡동)에서 ‘시각장애인 오디오북 ｢마음으로 듣는 소리｣ 시즌7 발간기념회’를 갖고, 오디오북 40권을 시각장애인연합회에 기증했다고 밝혔다.

이번 발간기념회는 코로나19 방역 수칙을 철저히 지키는 가운데 소규모로 진행됐으며, 캠코 문성유 사장, 시각장애인연합회 박종운 회장 직무대행, 사회복지공동모금회 김연순 사무총장을 비롯해 목소리 재능기부자 등이 참석했다고 했다.

캠코가 이번에 발간해 기증한 ｢마음으로 듣는 소리｣ 시즌7은 지난해 11월부터 5개월 간 캠코 직원 50명, 일반국민 50명 등 총 100명이 참여했으며, ‘그림해설 오디오북*’ 형식으로 어린이, 교육, 철학 등 내용을 담아 총 40권으로 제작됐다고 했다.

캠코는 2014년을 시작으로 올해 7회째를 맞는 ｢마음으로 듣는 소리｣를 통해 지식ㆍ문화 사각지대에 있는 시각장애인과 경제ㆍ인문ㆍ베스트셀러 등 폭넓은 지식과 경험을 나누기 위해 다양한 장르에 걸쳐 오디오북 총 415권을 발간했다고 했다.

특히, 캠코는 장애인식 개선과 나눔문화 확산을 위해 2016년부터 ｢마음으로 듣는 소리｣를  일반국민이 함께 녹음해 제작하는 ‘국민참여형 사회공헌활동’으로 확대해 운영하고 있으며, 지금까지 총 758명이 제작에 재능기부로 참여했다고 전했다.

문성유 캠코 사장은 “뜨거운 관심과 참여 속에서 제작된 이번 오디오북이 나눔과 소통의 메신저가 되기를 바란다”며, “앞으로도 캠코는 국민과 함께 성장하기 위해 꾸준히 사회적 가치를 실천해 갈 것”이라고 말했다. 

한편, 캠코는 발간된 오디오북을 임직원 기부를 통해 구축한 웹정보 플랫폼 ‘MAC(Media Access Center)’을 비롯해, 모바일 ‘행복을 들려주는 도서관’, ARS 소리샘 등 다양한 매체를 통해 시각장애인들에게 제공하고 있다고 밝혔다.
