[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 9월 의정부시는 금오동에 위치한 산장연립 옹벽을 대상으로 체계적인 유지관리와 급경사지(옹벽) 재해예방을 위해 정밀안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

산장연립 옹벽은 총 길이 105m, 높이 7m로 시공이 완료된 이후 약 35년이 경과된 옹벽으로 기능과 안전성을 높이기 위해 2013년 7월 안전에 취약한 일부 구간에 대해 보수․보강을 실시했고, 기능 유지 확인과 산장연립 입주민 및 인근 거주민의 거주안전 확보를 위해 이번 정밀안전점검을 진행했다고 했다.

이번 실시한 정밀안전점검은 그동안의 점검 결과를 바탕으로 면밀한 현장조사가 이뤄졌으며, 정밀외관조사와 현장시험(비파괴 시험)을 토대로 기능적 결함과 손상상태를 조사해 재해예방 및 산장연립 주거민의 불안감 해소와 안전한 거주생활을 확보하는데 목적을 두고 진행했다고 했다.

옹벽에 대한 정밀안전점검 결과는 비교적 양호한 수준으로 조사됐고, 현 상태는 일부 부재에 경미한 결함(균열)이 발생해 간단한 보수·보강이 필요한 상태로 안전등급은 C(보통)등급으로 지정됐다고 했다.

의정부시는 점검 결과를 토대로 안전사고 예방과 미관상 낙후된 옹벽에 대해 보수·보강 계획을 수립할 예정이라고 전했다.
