[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 8월 20일 의정부시는 의정부음악도서관이 한국음악협회 의정부지부와 지역음악문화 활성화를 위한 업무협약식을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

의정부음악도서관은 한국음악협회 의정부지부와 협약으로 의정부시의 음악 관련 인적·물적 인프라 공유와 함께 지역의 음악 관련 산업 발전을 위하여 상호 협력하기로 했고, 양 기관은 개관기념 뮤직페스티벌 야외 공연을 협력·진행했으며, 많은 시민들의 참여와 호응을 받은 바 있다고 했다. 

이는 음악도서관의 역할을 찾아가는 계기가 되었으며, 향후 음악 교육 프로그램 개발 및 음악 공연 공동 개최를 통하여 지역 음악 문화를 널리 알리고 시민의 문화 예술 진흥 확산을 모색하기로 했다고 말했다. 

박영애 도서관운영과장은 “한국음악협회의정부지부와 지속적 협력 관계를 통하여 지역 주민들의 음악문화 활동을 지원하며, 음악을 기반으로 한 문화를 시민들이 일상에서 향유 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
