[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시의회는 실효성 있는 정책개발과 전문적인 입법활동을 위해 올해 5개 연구단체를 구성·운영하고 있으며, 5월 연구용역 착수보고회를 모두 완료했다고 밝혔다. 

지난 3월 15일 심사위원회를 거쳐 승인된 연구단체는 총 5개 단체로 지방행정 연구회, 체육 행정·복지 연구회, 태권도 공연·문화콘텐츠 연구회, 향토문화 연구회, 숲체험 및 산림 치유 활성화를 위한 연구회라고 했다. 

각 연구단체는 착수보고회를 통해 전문 연구원과 함께 연구방향,중점과제 등에 대해 심도 있는 논의와 토론의 시간을 가졌다. 또한 이번 보고회에서는 연구 주제와 관련된 집행부 담당자, 자문위원 등이 참여해 현장에서의 다양한 의견을 수렴하여 연구의 질이 한층 높아질 것으로 기대된다고 했다. 

오범구 의장은“의원들의 적극적인 활동으로 지역발전을 위해 연구하는 의원상을 구현하고 주요 시책과 민생 현안 사업의 발전에 큰 기여를 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다. 

의원연구단체 활동은 연말까지 지속되며, 오는 8월 중간보고회를 통해 추진상황을 검토하고 보다 심층적인 논의를 진행할 예정이고, 한편 의정부시의회 홈페이지를 통해 지난 연구 성과물을 확인해볼 수 있다고 전했다.
