[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 31일부터 6월 4일까지 대한민국무공수훈자회 경기도지부 동두천시지회는 동두천시 지행역 1번 출구에서 제71주년 6.25한국전쟁 사진 및 화보 30여 점을 전시하여, 오가는 시민, 학생 및 방문객들의 걸음을 멈추게 했다고 밝혔다.

특히, 6.25한국전쟁 당시 강원도 설악산 전투에 직접 참여하여, 화랑무공훈장을 수훈한 무공수훈자회 양기길(92세) 회원은 “이 땅에 다시는 전쟁의 비극이 되풀이 되지 말아야 한다”며, 그때의 참상을 전하기도 했다

무공수훈자회 이도재 지회장은 행사기간 중 전시회장을 방문한 최용덕 시장, 정문영 시의장, 도의원 및 시의원들에게 6.25한국전쟁 단계별 과정을 직접 브리핑하며 방문에 감사를 표했고, 행사 진행에 최선을 다해준 무공 및 유족회원들에게도 감사의 말을 전했다.
