[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 1일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 군포고등학교를 찾아 학교 현안사항 논의를 위한 정담회를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

이날 정담회에서는 정윤경 교육기획위원장, 정규성 교장, 지명숙 군포의왕교육장, 심상헌 운영위원장, 심경화 학부모회장을 비롯한 학부모위원 등이 참석하여 학교의 현안에 대한 다양하고 심도있는 논의를 진행했다고 말했다.

학교측에서는 가장 중요한 현안으로 학교시설 석면 해체 및 LED교체 사업을 통한 학교교육환경 개선의 필요성을 강조하며, 학생안전을 위해 많은 관심과 지원을 가져줄 것을 요청했다고 했다. 

군포고등학교는 현재 기초협력사업으로 일부 건물에 대한 화장실개선공사 2억 5천 8백만 원이 배정된 상태로 화장실 환경개선을 위한 공사비 확보를 위해 노력해 온 정윤경 위원장은 “군포고 학생들의 안전한 학교생활을 위해 석면해체사업도 적기에 이루어 질 수 있도록 군포지역의 도의원으로서 적극적인 노력을 기울여 나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

심상헌 학교운영위원장은 정담회를 통해 학교의 어려움을 함께 이야기할 수 있는 점에 감사를 표했고, 심경화 학부모회장은 사업 진행시 재학생들의 피해가 최소화 될 수 있는 방안이 강구되어야 할 것이라고 말했다.

이에 대해 학교장은 “석면해체 사업이 선정이 된다면, 학생중심의 학사일정관리와 안전관리를 통해 차질없이 공사를 추진하겠다”고 언급했다. 

정윤경 의원은 “교육주체 모두가 관심을 갖고 소리를 낼 때 비로소 학교현장의 변화가 나타나는 것을 경험하고 있다”며 학교의 일에 교육공동체 모두가 지속적인 관심을 가져줄 것”을 요청하며, 정담회를 마무리 했다.
