이번 측정은 동두천시 광암동에 위치한 발전소 인근 주민들의 대기환경에 대한 관심과 걱정 속에서 이뤄졌으며, 이동측정 차량을 이용해 미세먼지(PM-10), 초미세먼지(PM-2.5), 이산화질소(NO2), 오존(O3), 아황산가스(SO2), 일산화탄소(CO) 6가지 항목과 기상인자 풍향, 풍속, 기온, 기압, 습도를 측정했다고 말했다.
 

측정결과에서 보산동에서 상시로 운영하는 측정망보다 6가지 항목 모두 좋은 수치였으며, 미세먼지 (PM-10) 또한 평균 4㎍/㎥ 낮은 수치로 측정됐다. 아울러, 발전소 인근 주민들이 주변 오염원의 영향이 크지 않은 것으로 보인다는 종합의견을 받을 수 있었다고 했다.
 

이번 결과는 광암동 주민들이 볼 수 있도록, 탑동마을회관과 쇠목주차장에 게시했으며, 인근 주민들에게도 알릴 예정이라고 했다.
