[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 오는 4월 5일부터 5월 27일까지 동두천시 꿈나무정보도서관에서는 지난 2월 진행한 방학특강 수업작품을 1층 꼬맹이방에서 전시한다고 밝혔다. 
 

이번 전시는 초등학교 2~3학년 대상 ‘내 손으로 접어 꾸미는 달력 만들기’ 구은미 강사와 4~6학년 대상 ‘나만의 캐릭터&나만의 그림책 만들기’ 김성은 강사 수업에 참여했던 수강생들의 작품으로, 4일 동안 달력키트와 백지그림책을 활용해, 직접 이야기를 창작하여 만든 ‘세상에 단 하나뿐인 그림책&달력’을 전시할 예정이라고 했다.
 

주요 작품으로는 '달력 만들기' 초등 3학년 박서우, 송아인 , 서로 다른 자매의 우정과 모험을 그린 '메이와 네이' 초등 6학년 정애림, 수줍음 많은 아이의 자존감 회복기 '나도 용기 있어' 초등 4학년 김루빈, 강아지 흰돌이의 좌충우돌 동네 탐험 '나는 흰돌이' 초등 4학년 박시연, 동두천 신천이 더욱 깨끗해지길 바라며 물고기 빙빙이를 통해 쓰레기 무단투기에 대한 경각심을 흥미롭게 다룬 '빙빙이의 꿈' 초등 6학년 박시후 등 전시를 희망한 수강생 작품 총 6점이 전시된다고 말했다.
 

도서관 관계자는 “단 4일간의 수업으로 나온 초등학생의 작품이라고는 믿어지지 않는 뛰어난 상상력과 창작 실력에 깜짝 놀랐다”며, “이번 전시를 통해 어린이 작가들의 다양한 작품을 접하고 자극을 받아, 다른 어린이들이 책도 많이 읽고, 자신만의 이야기를 만들어 보는 경험을 해보길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
