[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시는 지난 29일 시청 3층 대회의실에서 100여 명의 주민자치 위원들이 참석한 가운데 2023년 포천시 주민자치학교 종강식을 개최했다고 1일 밝혔다.

이번 종강식은 지난 4월 10일부터 14회에 걸쳐 운영된 찾아가는 주민자치학교 교육의 결산으로, 특강과 갤러리 워크 순으로 진행됐다.

1부 특강은 ‘품격있는 인문도시 포천시 주민자치에서 답을 찾다’라는 주제로 포천시 정책자문단으로 활동하고 있는 대진대 김종래 교수가 진행했다.

2부 순서인 갤러리 워크는 3주 간의 교육을 전담했던 대진대 송성숙 교수가 맡아 읍면동별 활동 결과를 리뷰하고, 다함께 직접 둘러보는 방식으로 진행했다.

이 날 갤러리 워크에 참석한 한 위원은 “우리 면뿐만 아니라 다른 지역이 어떻게 활동했는지 결과물을 보게 되니 더욱 감회가 새롭다”며 “앞으로도 이런 기회가 자주 마련되었으면 좋겠다”고 만족감을 전했다.

종강식을 축하하기 위해 참석한 백영현 포천시장은 “주민자치는 수준 높은 지방자치 실현의 핵심 가치 중 하나이며, 앞으로도 여러분께서 주민 중심 풀뿌리 지방자치 구현에 구심점이 되어주실 것을 당부드린다”고 말했다.
