[김준호 기자 = 강원남부] 강원도에서 유일하게 드론시범공역, 드론전용비행시험장이 있는 영월군은 국내 최고의 ‘드론도시’를 꿈꾸고 있다. 이에 ‘다목적 드론센터(가칭)’를 건립하여 드론전용비행시험장, 드론테마파크와 연계하여 드론산업 인프라를 집약하겠다고 밝혔다.

 

다목적 드론센터는 강원도 지방소멸대응기금 56억, 군비 14억을 포함, 70억원을 투입하여 기상 여건에 관계없이 드론 시험 비행을 할 수 있는 실내비행장, 입주 기업을 위한 공간, 드론 교육 시설, 드론 엔터테인트먼트 공간 및 드론 스포츠대회 등 개최가 가능하도록 설계하여 2023년 하반기에 착공할 계획이다.
