[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 태백국민체육센터 위탁 운영기간이 오는 12월 31일 만료됨에 따라 효율적 관리·운영을 위한 새로운 위탁운영자를 오는 12월 8일까지 공개 모집한다고 밝혔다.

태백국민체육센터는 2011년 개관한 체육시설로 지하 1층∼지상 4층, 연면적 5,317㎡ 규모로 조성되어 있으며 수영장, 헬스장, 다목적체육관 등 시설을 갖추고 다양한 프로그램 운영과 저렴한 이용요금으로 월평균 7백여 명의 시민들이 이용하고 있는 시설이다.

시는 서류심사 및 민간위탁 심의위원회 심의 후 적격 법인(단체) 중 최고 점수를 얻은 법인(단체)을 최종 수탁자로 선정하며, 수탁기간은 2023년 1월 1일부터 2025년 12월 31까지 3년이다.
