[서종협 기자 = 태백시 ] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 통합방위지원본부 주관하에 권역별로 지역주민의 안보의식을 고취시키고 민·관·군·경 소방의 통합방위 작전 능력을 배양하는 실기동 훈련인 화랑훈련이 실시된 가운데 26일 신태백변전소 폭발물 테러 대응 훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

또한 통합방위협의회의장인 이상호 태백시장은 “어떠한 위기상황 속에서도 시민의 안전, 생명, 재산을 지켜낼 수 있도록 민·관·군·경 소방 간의 긴밀한 협력과 공조 체제 구축을 통해 완벽한 통합방위 태세를 확립할 수 있도록 지원과 노력을 당부드린다”고 말했다.

아울러 2022 화랑훈련은 지난 24일 시작으로 오는 27일까지 통합방위지원본부를 설치 및 운영해 군사작전 지원 및 상황 대응 훈련을 실시하며 민·관·군·경의 유기적인 통합방위태세 확립과 태백시민의 안보 의식 고취에 중점을 두고 훈련이 진행된다.
