[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 제20회 태백시 사회복지대회가 27일 오투리조트 컨벤션센터에서 이상호 태백시장, 고재창 태백시의회의장, 시의원, 사회복지기관 및 시설종사자, 자원봉사자 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 태백시사회복지협의회 주최하에 개최됐다고 밝혔다.

행사는 식전행사로 오카리나 은빛하모니, 건강댄스 영시스터즈, 푸아나니 훌라댄스의 축하공연에 이어 영상물 상영, 개회식, 유공자 표창, 윤리선언 낭독 등의 순으로 진행됐다. 

또한, 시상식에서는 사회복지 부문 유공으로 다같이효종합복지센터 이강숙씨가 태백시장상을, 햇빛나눔노인복지센터 김명자씨가 태백시의회의장상을, 안식의집 신동길씨가 한국사회복지협의회장상을, (사)강원도농아인협회태백시지회 송주영씨와 태백노인전문요양원 조희준씨가 강원도사회복지협의회장상을, 태백노인복지센터 정경순씨가 태백시사회복지협의회장상을, 철암동행정복지센터 임종태 주무관이 always 희망나눔상을 수상했다.

덧붙여 “앞으로도 우리 시 번영을 이끌어 갈 자랑스러운 시민으로서 역량을 최대한 발휘해 주시고 영향력 있는 복지 가족으로 적극 활동해 주시기 당부드린다”며 “복지 분야에 대한 관심도와 수요 또한 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 상황에 우리시에서도 이에 발 맞추어 신속하고 촘촘한 사회 안전망 구축에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

하일호 태백시사회복지협의회장은 “사회복지협의회는 지역복지공동체 구축을 강화하고 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 나눔문화 활성화를 통해 지역사회복지발전에 최선을 다하고 있다” 며 “민·관과 협력해 지역사회 복지를 위한 다양한 의견 교환과 고견을 청취하고 소통함으로써 우리 협의회가 이 시대의 요구에 부흥하는 명실상부한 민간대표 사회복지기관으로서 자리매김하도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
