[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해문화관광재단(이사장 심규언)과 한국철도공사 강원본부(본부장 신화섭)는 동해시를 여행하고 싶은 관광객을 위해  KTX와 동해시 택시를 묶은 ‘동해로 가자! 친환경 KTX+동트는 택시’상품을 출시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 출시 상품은 재단과 강원본부가 코로나19이후 개별ㆍ소규모 여행으로 변화하고 있는 여행 트렌드에 어울리도록 동해시의 관광객 유치를 위해 철도-택시투어(야경투어 포함) 연계 관광 상품을 개발한 것이다. 

상품의 최소 이용 인원은 2인으로 서울~동해 KTX 왕복열차이용권과 동해 택시 4시간과 6시간 이용권으로 구성됐으며, 이용객의 기호에 따라 코스 변경이 가능하다. 단, 관광지 시설 이용료 요금은 포함되지 않는다. 

이에따라, 이용객에게는 KTX 탑승권의 최대 50% 할인과 동시에 택시 이용 금액의 50%(최대 5만원 한도 내)를 지원받는 등의 인센티브가 부여된다.

4시간 이용권의 경우, 1코스는 무릉계곡-추암해변-도째비골스카이밸리를  2코스는 무릉별유천지-망상해변-도째비골스카이밸리 구간을 돌아볼 수 있다.

6시간 이용권의 경우, 1코스는 무릉계곡-천곡동굴-망상해변-도째비골 스카이밸리 구간을 2코스는 추암해변-무릉별유천지-한섬해변-도째비골스카이밸리를 여유롭게 방문해 볼 수 있다.

이와함께, 재단과 코레일은 ‘동해로 가자! 친환경 KTX+동트는 택시’상품 이용객을 대상으로 ‘동해 ESG 스탬프투어’를 통해 여행 기간중 ESG실천 미션에 성공할 경우 기념품도 제공할 계획이다.

해당 관광상품은  8월 27일부터 이용이 가능하며, 코레일 여행센터나 Let’s 코레일 홈페이지(www.letskorail.com)를 통해 예약 가능하며 문의는 강원여행센터(033-520-8375~6)로 하면 된다.

심규언 동해문화관광재단 이사장은 “동해시티투어버스와 더불어 택시를 이용한 여행상품은 코로나19이후 자유여행을 원하는 가족, 친구 단위의 소규모 여행객들에게 큰 호응을 얻을 것으로 기대한다”며 “잠재된 관광수요를 지속적으로 발굴해 동해시가 관광도시로서 지역경제 활성화에 보탬이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
