[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시(시장 심규언)는 독서의 달을 맞아 주경야독이라는 슬로건으로 9월 한 달 동안 독서문화 체험행사를 마련했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 작가초청 북콘서트, 어린이 체험특강, 전시행사 등 독서 생활 향상을 위한 독서문화 행사로 진행될 예정이다. 

올해의책 독후감, 문예작품 및 독후감의 공모분야와 독서퀴즈, N행시 짓기, 책쿵쿵따, 동해 문화재 체험 등의 행사분야를 비롯하여 올해의 책, 조셉 코엘료 작가의 ‘오늘은 도서관 가는 날’원화 전시의 전시분야 등 특색있는 프로그램이 진행된다.

특히, 작가초청 북콘서트가 평생학습관 대강당에서 4회에 걸쳐 진행될 예정으로 남희령 작가(내 인생이 흔들린다 느껴진다면), 서성현 작가(서부장의 슬기로운 이중생활), 임정민 작가(어른의 대화법), 박상미 작가(박상미의 가족 상담소)를 만나볼 수 있다.

독서의 달 행사 참여신청은 오는 9월 1일부터 동해시립도서관 홈페이지에서 마감 시까지 접수를 통해 진행되며, 자세한 사항은 시립도서관 홈페이지 공지사항을 참고하거나 발한도서관 또는 북삼도서관으로 문의하면 안내받을 수 있다.

전춘미 평생교육센터소장은 “시민들에게 독서의 즐거움을 알리기 위해 마련한 특별한 행사를 통해 작가와 소통하고 책과 함께하는 행복한 9월이 되기를 바란다” 전했다. 

한편, 동해시립도서관은 지역주민의 독서 활동을 장려하기 위해 「9월 독서의 달」일정 기간 동안 「책 두배로 데이」를 운영하여 최대 12권까지 대출 서비스를 제공하며, 장기 연체된 도서를 반납하면 대출 정지를 해제하는 행사도 진행된다
