[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월 20일까지 양주시 회천2동 지역사회보장협의체는 중위소득 120% 이내 가구에 해당되는 관내 초등학생을 대상으로 탄소 배출감소를 위한 활동 실천 이벤트를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 이벤트는 ‘아동들이 만드는 행복한 우리 마을’을 주제로 하는 마을복지사업에 회천2동만의 특별한 ‘탄소중립 프로젝트’를 결합해 진행하게 된다고 했다.

참여기간은 22일부터 오는 5월 20일까지 30일간이며, 참여 방법은 탄소중립에 관심 있는 회천2동 거주 초등학생이라면 이벤트 카페 게시판에 탄소 배출 감소를 위한 활동을 2가지 이상 실천하고 인증 사진을 첨부해 게시글을 작성하면 된다고 했다. 

참여기간 종료 후 참여자에게는 추첨을 통해 100명에게 2만원 상당의 문화상품권을 지급할 예정이라고 전했다.

김선경 위원장은 “이번 이벤트가 관내 어린이들에게 환경을 보호하고 에너지를 절약하는 등 지구사랑, 회천2동 사랑하는 마음을 심어주는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
