[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 15일 포천시는 시청 대회의실에서 ㈜필립스이브이 및 ㈜필립스그룹과 ‘포천 필립스(Phillips) 모빌리티 일반산업단지’ 추진을 위한 양해각서를 체결했다고 밝혔다.

협약서는 박윤국 포천시장과 사업시행자 측인 ㈜필립스그룹 방승호 회장, ㈜필립스이브이 이재순 대표가 각각 서명했다고 전했다.

이번 협약에 앞서 포천시에 일반산업단지 투자의향서를 제출한 ㈜필립스이브이(EV)는 1892년 최초의 자전거 생산을 시작으로 영국에서 설립된 이래 130년의 역사를 자랑하는 ‘필립스(Phillips)’의 브랜드를 기반한 기업이라고 했다.

㈜필립스이브이(EV)는 신성장 첨단기술업종이 집약된 산업단지 조성을 위해 포천시 영북면 야미리 일원에 총 406,401㎡(약 12만 3천 평) 규모의 토지에 전기버스, 전기 스쿠터, 전기 자전거 등 친환경 E-모빌리티 분야의 유치업종을 계획하고 있으며, 총 사업비는 840억 원이 투입될 것으로 예상된다고 했다.
