[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 16일 의정부시의회 이계옥 의원은 국회의원회관에서 개최한 전국여성지방의원네트워크 주관 「2022 전국여성지방의원네트워크 의정활동 우수사례 시상식」에서 기초의회 분야 우수상을 받았다고 전했다.

전국여성지방의원네트워크에서 주관한 의정활동 우수사례 공모 시상식은 여성정치참여에 대한 긍정적 여론 형성과 우수 의정활동 사례 공유를 위해 여성 지방의원들의 우수 의정활동을 생활정치, 평등정치, 맑은정치 등 3개 분야로 발굴하고 있다고 했다.

이계옥 의원은 제8대 의정부시의회 초선 의원으로 남다른 열정과 소명의식을 갖고 「의정부시 아동친화도시 조성에 관한 조례안」, 「의정부시 공중화장실 등의 불법촬영 예방 조례안」, 「의정부시 산림교육 활성화 지원에 관한 조례안」 등 시민 생활과 밀접한 조례 발굴과 의원연구단체 활동을 통해 의정부시 유아숲 놀이문화 특화 프로그램 모델을 제시한 점이 높은 평가를 받았다고 전했다.

이계옥 의원은 “시민들의 복지증진과 지역발전을 위해 더욱 노력하라는 뜻에서 주는 상이라고 생각하며, 남은 임기 동안 의정부시의 발전을 위해 시민과 소통하고 공감하는 적극적인 의정활동을 펼치겠다”라고 수상소감을 밝혔다.
