[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14일 의정부시의회는 대한적십자사 경기도지사에게 2022년도 적십자 특별회비를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이날 의장실에서 진행된 전달식에는 오범구 의장을 비롯한 시의원들과 대한적십자사 경기도지사 북부봉사관 최기환 관장, 의정부지구협의회 우미자 회장 등이 참석하여 적십자 회비모금, 봉사회 운영 등의 현안과 애로사항에 대해 이야기를 나눴다고 했다.

의정부시의회는 도움의 손길이 필요한 이웃들에게 사랑과 희망을 전하고자 매년 적십자 특별회비 모금 운동에 참여해오고 있으며, 이날 전달된 특별회비는 국내외 재난구호활동, 위기가정 긴급지원, 코로나19 지원활동 등 도움이 필요한 취약계층을 위해 사용될 예정이라고 했다.

오범구 의장은 “지역사회에서 소외되거나 재난․재해 등으로 위기 상황에 처한 이웃을 돕기 위해 노력해온 대한적십자의 노고에 감사를 드린다”며, “의정부시의회도 복지사각지대에 놓인 이웃을 살피고 도움의 손길이 필요한 시민에게 따뜻한 힘이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
