[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일 의정부시의회는 의정부시의회 3층 의원회의실에서 시의원 대상으로 ‘성희롱·성매매·성폭력 및 가정폭력 예방교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 교육은 오미크론 변이로 코로나19가 확산되는 어려운 여건 속에서도 4대 폭력(성희롱, 성폭력, 성매매, 가정폭력)의 심각성을 인식하고 예방하고자 철저히 방역수칙을 준수하며 진행됐다고 했다. 

한국범죄학연구소 선임연구위원이며 4대 폭력 예방교육 전문 강사인 민수진 강사를 초빙해 4대 폭력에 대한 개념과 최근 발생한 성희롱·성폭력 범죄를 재조명해보는 등 다양한 사례 중심의 교육으로 진행되어 많은 공감을 얻었다고 전했다.

오범구 의장은 “나 자신과 조직을 위하여 4대 폭력에 대한 올바른 인식 정착 및 예방의 중요성을 일깨우는 좋은 계기가 되었다. 서로를 배려하여 직장 내 양성평등 실현과 건전한 조직문화를 조성하고, 시민들께 신뢰받는 의회가 되기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
