[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3일 의정부시의회는 자일동에 위치한 현충탑 참배 및 시무식 개최로 2022년 희망찬 새해를 시작했다고 전했다.

이날 참배는 코로나-19 확산 방지를 위해 사회적 거리두기 및 방역수칙을 준수한 가운데 진행됐으며, 의정부시의회 의원들은 순국선열과 호국영령의 숭고한 넋을 기르며, 의정부시의 발전과 시민의 복리 증진을 위해 의정활동을 펼칠 것을 다짐하는 시간을 가졌다고 했다. 

시무식에는 의원회의실에서 시의원 및 사무국 직원들이 참석한 가운데 개최했으며, 시민과 소통하는 열린 의정 활동을 펼칠 것을 다짐하고 새해 덕담을 나누었다고 했다.

오범구 의장은 “임인년(壬寅年) 새해에는 13명 의원 모두 힘을 합쳐 현장 중심의 의회로 민생 현장을 발로 뛰면서 시민들의 다양한 목소리에 귀 기울이고, 코로나19로 침체된 지역경제 활성화를 위한 민생안정 정책 발굴 등 47만 시민이 행복한 의정부시를 만들어 가는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
