[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 26일 동두천시는 원도심 일대에서 ‘2021년 성폭력 가정폭력 추방주간 기념 거리 캠페인’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 성폭력·가정폭력 추방주간을 기념하여 (사)경기도여성단체협의회 동두천시지회 회원 및 동두천성폭력상담소 등 20여 명이 참여했고, 행사 진행은 ‘우리의 관심이 성폭력 없는 일상을 지킵니다’라는 주제로 가정폭력, 성폭력 및 디지털 성범죄 등을 근절하자는 피켓을 들고 원도심 회전교차로에서 두드림 희망센터까지 약 2㎞ 거리행진을 펼쳤다고 했다.

이유화 회장은 “폭력은 피해자에게 신체적·정신적으로 깊은 상처를 주고, 또한 가정을 파괴하는 행위”라며, “캠페인을 통해 시민들이 폭력은 범죄행위라는 공감대를 갖고 디지털 범죄, 스토킹 범죄 등 폭력 예방에 대한 사회적 관심을 갖기 바란다”고 전했다.

한편 동두천시는 성폭력상담소, 건강가정·다문화가족지원센터를 통해 폭력 피해자 상담 및 치료 회복 프로그램 운영 등 위기가정을 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.
