[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시 드림스타트는 11월 한 달여 동안 드림스타트 아동 양육자 21명을 대상으로 ‘한땀한땀 내 아이를 위한 뜨개질’ 맞춤서비스를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

드림스타트 아동의 주양육자에게 손뜨개질 수업을 연계 및 지원하여 심리·정서적 안정 도모로 안정적인 양육환경을 조성하고 작품완성이라는 성취감을 통해 자존감을 향상시키는 것을 목적으로 하는 프로그램이라고 했다. 

뜨개질 수업은 올해 여름 드림스타트팀 내 직원들 간 시 취미로 시작되어 뜨개질이 마음의 안정을 가져오는 것을 직접 체험을 통해 알게 되었고, 이를 드림스타트 양육자를 대상으로 프로그램화 시켜보자는 구상을 하게 되어 기획됐다고 했다.

의정부시 관내 뜨개공방을 연계하여 1회기에 2시간 수업으로 총 2회기를 진행하며 손가방과 목도리를 완성하는 것으로 목표로 수업이 진행된다고 했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “이번 맞춤서비스를 통해 양육자가 정서적 안정을 형성하고, 양육자로서의 효능감을 향상시켜 최종적으로는 드림스타트 아동의 건강한 정서 발달로 귀결되기를 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 의정부시 아동들이 건강하고 행복한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
