[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 10월 1일부터 동두천시는 가정용 생활공구를 무료로 대여해 주는 ‘우리동네 공구대여소’사업을 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

이 사업은 구입하기에는 부담스럽고, 없으면 불편한 생활공구를 무료로 대여함으로써 시민들에게 공유경제문화 저변을 확대하고 주민주도의 주거지 정비기반을 조성코자 마련된 사업으로, 공구대여를 희망하는 만19세 이상 동두천시민 누구나 신분증 지참 후 ‘우리동네 공구대여소’에 방문하여 공구를 이용할 수 있다고 했다. 

동두천시도시재생지원센터 내에 위치한 우리동네 공구대여소의 운영시간은 평일 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지이며, 충전임팩드라이버, 에어콤프레샤, 스팀해빙기 등 총 56종의 공구를 대여할 수 있다. 1인 당 최대 3점으로 3일 이내로 대여가능하며, 1회(3일)에 한하여 연장이 가능하다고 했다.

최용덕 동두천시장은 “소규모 도시재생사업을 통해 조성된 우리동네 공구대여소가 주민들의 생활에 밀접한 서비스를 제공하고, 지역 내 공유문화를 확산시키는 계기가 되길 바란다”며,“앞으로도 주민 편의 증진을 위해 다양한 분야의 도시재생 사업을 추진하겠다”고 전했다.
