[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 16일 동두천시 생연1동 새마을부녀회는 지역사회보장협의체의 후원으로 민족 고유의 명절인 추석을 맞아 '사랑의 송편나누기'행사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

생연1동 새마을부녀회는 어려운 이웃에게 사랑 나눔 운동 실천으로 매년 설과 추석 명절에 송편 나누기를 하고 있으며, 이밖에도 매월 당일 만든 밑반찬을 전달하면서 안부확인 및 복지욕구 등을 파악해 각종 서비스를 연계하는 등 적극적으로 이웃사랑을 실천하고 있다고 했다.

안경녀 부녀회장은 “민족 고유의 명절인 추석을 맞아 주변을 돌아볼 수 있는 계기가 됐다” 며 “코로나19로 가족과 몸은 멀리 있어도 마음만은 가깝게 나눌 수 있는 한가위가 되시기를 바란다”고 전했다.
