[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 9월 6일, 경기도의회 건설교통위원회 김종배 도의원이 대표 발의한 '경기도 생활물류서비스산업발전 지원에 관한 조례안'이 제354회 임시회 건설교통위원회 제2차 상임위 회의에서 원안가결 됐다고 밝혔다.

조례안을 대표발의한 김종배 도의원은 “전자상거래의 발달로 배송시장 규모가 급속도로 성장하는 등 전통물류와는 다른 택배, 소화물배송과 같은 생활물류 수요가 급격히 늘어나고 있다”며 “급격히 증가하는 수요에 맞추어 경기도 생활물류서비스산업 발전을 위한 물류기반을 조성하고, 관련 종사자들의 권익 보장 및 증진할 필요가 있었다”고 제정 취지를 전했다.

이어 “이번 조례안 제정을 통해 생활물류서비스종사자의 권익 증진과 함께 발전된 생활물류서비스산업으로 우리 도민들의 삶의 질 향상 및 지역 경제 활성화가 예상된다”며 기대감을 밝혔다.

김 도의원은 이전에 '경기도 화물자동차 운수사업 관련 위반행위 신고 및 포상금 지급 조례 일부개정조례안'을 대표 발의하는 등 평소 경기도 물류산업과 관련하여 지속적으로 관심을 가져온 것으로 알려져 있다고 했다.

본 조례안은 오는 9월 15일 경기도의회 제354회 임시회 제4차 본회의에서 심의 예정이라고 했다.
