[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 27일 동두천시는 시청 상황실에서 2021년 제2회 동두천시 사례결정위원회를 개최하여 아동 보호조치 등 관련 사항을 심의·의결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 회의에서는 보호대상 아동의 가정위탁 보호조치 사전심의 및 보호대상 아동의 양육시설 보호 조치에 관한 사항을 사전 심의하였으며, 해당 보호조치는 보호 유형의 적합성 등을 검토하여, 해당 아동의 의사를 존중하고 아동에게 최상의 이익이 되는 방향으로 심의하였다고 했다. 

동두천시 사례결정위원회는 지난 6월 30일 개정된 아동복지법에 따라 아동복지심의위원회 산하에 의사, 변호사, 학대예방경찰관 등 현장전문가들이 수시로 발생하는 아동보호와 관련된 사항에 대해 개별아동의 특성과 환경 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 심의 의결하기 위해 구성됐다고 했다.  

향후 사례결정위원회는 소속된 전문가들과 함께 부모의 연락 두절·소재불명 사례에 대한 친권 제한, 후견인 선임 청구 여부 등을 심의하는 등 아동의 권익 증진에 힘쓸 예정이라고 했다.
