[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 고용복지플러스센터에 방문하는 시민들에게 연중 복지 상담을 제공 중이라고 최근 밝혔다.

특별히 이러한 복지 상담을 계기로 두 가지 이상의 서비스를 연계하거나 장기간 모니터링이 필요한 복지사각지대는 동 행정복지센터와 함께 가정방문을 실시한 후 사례관리 대상자로 선정 및 보호하고 있다고 했다.  

이는 복지정책과 무한돌봄팀 통합사례관리사가 평일 동안 고용복지플러스센터 파견 근무를 통해 실업급여를 신청하거나 공공근로사업 등을 문의하기 위해 내방하는 저소득가구의 어려움을 별도로 청취함으로써 가능하게 됐다고 했다. 

시 관계자는 “코로나19로 인해 복지수요가 계속해서 증가추세에 있는 만큼 고용복지플러스센터와 협력하여 복지위기가구를 적극적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
