[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 8월 2일 동두천시 전진석 부시장은 농업축산위생과 주요 추진사업과 축산농가 방역 점검을 위해 주요 농장 및 거점소독시설을 방문하고 관계자들을 격려했다고 밝혔다. 

시는 주요 추진사업으로 상패동 양돈농가들을 대상으로 5개소 가축분뇨 개별정화처리시설 설치사업과 8대 방역시설 설치사업을 지원하고 있으며 아프리카돼지열병 차단을 위해 거점소독시설에서 1일 약 35대의 축산차량을 소독하고 있다고 했다. 

전진석 동두천 부시장은 “무엇보다 방역에 있어서는 부족한 것보다 과한 것이 낫다”면서, “축사 출입 시 손씻기, 장화 갈아신기 등 기본적인 방역수칙을 철저히 준수할 것”을 당부했다. 

동두천시 농업축산위생과에서는 여름철 폭염에 따른 축산농가의 재난피해는 없지만 사전예방과 철저한 점검을 통해 대응해 나갈 예정이라고 말했다.
