[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 4월부터 양주시는 농업기술센터 교육장과 산채마을 현장에서 교육생 30명을 대상으로 진행한 ‘농업기술 전문교육 산채반’ 교육을 성황리에 완료했다고 밝혔다.

교육은 총 4회에 걸쳐 초본, 목본, 양치류, 뿌리 등 산채류 종류별 파종과 육묘기술, 재배이론교육과 현장 산나물 수확체험을 병행해 진행됐다고 전했다.

특히 초종별 산나물 재배의 특징, 돈이 되는 산나물 출하시기, 유휴지 활용방법 등 기존 농산물과 차별화된 영농 솔루션을 제시했으며 종자 파종, 모종이식을 실습할 수 있는 종묘를 공급하며 교육 후에도 지속적으로 재배할 수 있는 여건을 조성했다고 했다.

수강생 가운데 체험농장을 운영 중인 A씨는 “다른 작물보다 수확시기가 빠른 산채류를 선발해 2월에서 3월, 10월에서 11월경 채취가 가능한 품목을 선택하면 체험거리가 풍성할 것으로 예상된다”며 “향후 농장운영에 반영할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
